Aquario Neo Media Premium is a high-quality filter medium for biological filtration in aquariums. The innovative texture, characterised by the fractional cylindric shape, offers a highly structured surface with an exceptional 3.200 m²/l and pores varying in sizes between 1.000 µm ~ 2 µm. Conventional filter balls have an average surface area of approx. 500 m²/l and filter rings even only 270 m²/l. The larger pores of up to 1.000 µm allow excellent water flow through the filter medium into the deepest interior. Therefore, it offers nitrifying bacteria (size 1 ~ 1,5 µm) an optimum oxygen supply in addition to the large colonisation surface. These bacteria are essential for water quality, as they effectively remove ammonium and nitrite. The various pore sizes allow a considerable number of other bacteria and other microbes to coexist safely.

In the development of Neo Media Premium, AQUARIO pays special attention to creating a novel, continuous pore structure. Part of the 5-step manufacturing process they created is processing at high temperatures, ensuring good strength. In addition, the pores are kept at this temperature level for a very long time to standardise their quality.
These measures guarantee stable performance to ensure optimal use when properly applied.

AQUARIO offers Neo Media Premium in three types influencing the water hardness differently.
SOFT - slightly acid
PURE - not affecting pH
HARD - slightly alkali

Each package of Aquario Filter Media comes with a separately packed sachet of dormant bacteria activated as soon as they come in contact with water and immediately start transforming ammonium and nitrite for quick aquarium cycling.

• Rinse the media before inserting it into the filter.
• Do not wash excessively.
  
• The bacteria provided should be placed without treatment directly into the washed medium just before it is placed in the filter. 
  
• Routine clean media every three months.
  
• Replace after about 2 years of use. 
  
• The effectiveness of NEO Media can be affected by the water used and objects within the aquarium.
