Description
Yokuchi Shoka Bacteria is a mixture of selected bacteria of natural origin in powder form. Quickly activates the nitrogen cycle in a freshwater aquarium. Supports self-cleaning processes and maintains biological balance.
  • It contains selected strains of bacteria
  • Activates biological processes in freshwater aquariums
  • Breaks down harmful nitrogen compounds
  • Supports the decomposition of organic waste
  • Helps in fighting cyanobacteria
  • Efficient and easy to use
  • It can be used under the substrate

Using products containing live bacterial strains helps safely activate the aquarium's biological activity. The multiplication of beneficial nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria under natural conditions can take months. Bio-starters significantly shorten the maturation time of the tank. They help to ensure the health and safety of the fauna and flora of the new aquarium.

Shoka Bacteria by Yokuchi is a natural biological activator of the aquarium. It contains the right strains of bacteria that are the basis of a healthy aquatic ecosystem.

Shoka Bacteria should be used when starting the tank, cleaning the filters and changing the water. It is enough to use the handy measuring cup attached to the package and sprinkle it on the moist substrate and/or filter cartridges.

Shoka Bacteria is a bacterial product containing strains obtained directly from the natural environment. There are as many as 5 billion active bacteria in one gram of product. Autotrophic microorganisms begin to multiply in a short time. Bacteria quickly inhabit the filter beds and the aquarium substrate. This significantly speeds up the maturation process. They effectively initiate the nitrogen cycle, reduce toxic ammonia NH4 and oxidize harmful nitrites NO2. They provide biological balance in the aquarium.

Thanks to the use of Yokuchi Shoka Bacteria, we can introduce the animals into the tank shortly after being set up without fear that they will poison themselves with harmful nitrogen compounds. Regular use of the Shoka Bacteria also prevents the formation of unsightly biofilm on the water surface and makes it nice and clear.

It is also recommended in the case of cyanobacteria.

In the event of the appearance of cyanobacteria, Shoka Bacteria can be mixed in a cup with aquarium water, put into a syringe and injected into places attacked by these onerous microorganisms. The observations show that the bacteria in Yokuchi Shoka Bacteria effectively inhibit the growth of cyanobacteria.

Yokuchi Shoka Bacteria should also be dosed when changing filter media, rinsing the biological bed changing water. It will also be helpful after treating fish and in all cases of biological imbalance.

How To Use?

In newly established aquariums:

  • Sprinkle the damp filter media with powder.
  • Wait an hour, and then start the filter.
  • Dosage: 1g (1 small flat scoop) for every 50 litres of aquarium capacity.
As an addition to the substrate:
  • Sprinkle the powder on the sub-gravel substrate layer, e.g. Yokuchi Ganban Power Base.
  • Cover with a layer of gravel or Yokuchi Jiban Soil active substrate.
  • Dosage: 2g (1 large flat scoop) for every 50 litres of aquarium capacity.
After cleaning the filter/water change:
  • Sprinkle the damp filter media with powder.
  • Dosage: 1g (1 small flat scoop) for every 100 litres of aquarium capacity.
In the event of cyanobacteria:
  • Take 50ml of aquarium water.
  • Add 1g (1 small flat scoop) to 50ml of water and mix thoroughly.
  • Take the liquid into the syringe (not included).
  • When performing the treatment, turn off the filter for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove the cyanobacteria with a hose, and inject the places of their occurrence with the solution.
